R. Tom “Big Bird” Ciak began selling archery products to friends and fellow NODAHO Club members in 1995 out of his service station, “Ciak Service” located in Maitland, Missouri.  In 1998, he closed the shop in Maitland to open a Convenience/Bait & Tackle Store on the road to Mozingo Lake, about 8 miles outside Maryville, Missouri.  In 2002, he dedicated a very small area to archery products in the front area.  In 2003, he obtained the Mathews dealership.  In 2004, he converted part of the back of the store (about 400 square feet) into an archery showroom.  In March of 2006, he lost the lease on the building near Mozingo and moved to 216 North Main, Maryville, Missouri.  Being in downtown Maryville has brought more business in the archery area, so that the archery area has steadily grown.
